• Module 1: Divisibility & Arithmetic Functions: well-ordering, induction, the division algorithm, GCD, the Euclidean algorithm, linear Diophantine equations, the Fundamental Theorem of Arithmetic, and Euler's \(\varphi\), Möbius \(\mu\), \(\tau\) and \(\sigma\).
• Module 2: Congruences & Primitive Roots: congruences, residue classes, linear congruences, the Chinese Remainder Theorem, Euler–Fermat, Lagrange's theorem, Wilson's theorem and primitive roots.

Assignments

• Assignment 1: Module I, 28 problems.
• Assignment 2: Module II, 35 problems.
